VA Opening Rural Health Resource Centers

On October 1, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will open three Veterans Rural Health Resource Centers including the western region at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center.  Read more about these health resource centers.

Walk-in Weekly Memory Classes for OEF-OIF Veterans

Medical Foster Home Program for Veterans

The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System is pleased to announce the development of the Medical Foster Home program to reach the growing needs of the veteran population.  The Medical Foster Home is a unique partnership of adult foster home and Home Based Primary Care.  Read more about this new program.

New Location for the Roosevelt Community Based Outpatient Clinic

The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System recently contracted with CRAssociates, Inc. (CRA) to provide primary care and preventive health services, as well as support for VA provided mental health services, to veterans residing primarily in Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett Counties, Utah, through the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) program. The clinic will move to its new location effective July 1, 2008. The new address is 245 West 200 North, Roosevelt, Utah.

Free DUI Classes for Eligible Veterans

The George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is offering free DUI classes mandated by the state of Utah for eligible veterans beginning in April 2008. View more information about these classes.
