Dental Clinic Hours


The Dental Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed weekends and holidays).  Call (801) 584-1206 or toll-free 1 (800) 613-4012 ext. 1206 for a dental clinic appointment.

Eligibility


Services offered by Dental Service include general dentistry, oral surgery, and periodontal care.  Dental services may be provided to veterans who have entitlement to dental care.  You may be eligible for dental care if you:

  • Have a service-connected medical condition rated at 100%
  • Are receiving the 100% service-connection rate due to an "unemployable" rating by the VA
  • Were a former Prisoner of War (POW)
  • Have a service-connected dental condition
  • Are enrolled in the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation Program
  • Were recently released from active duty (you must contact Dental Service within 90 days of separation and provide a copy of your DD214)
  • Are on active duty and a sharing agreement exists with the facility and your station

Under specific circumstances, the Chief of Dental Service may approve limited treatment for certain inpatients and outpatients.

The Dental Clinic staff is a group of caring, compassionate individuals working together for excellence. That team effort is directed and dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care through trust, respect, and integrity. The staff consists of 3 staff dentists, 6 specialists, 4 highly qualified dentists in a one year General Practice Residency Program, 1 dental hygienist, and 8 dental assistants.

Dental Hygiene


This program is an affiliation with Weber State and Salt Lake Community College dental hygiene programs. Students rotating through dental clinic are introduced to a wide variety of techniques used in dental hygiene and patient education.
