VASLCHCS dedicates a new Mental Health Outpatient Building!
Veterans Stu Shipley and John Angel cut the ribbon on what promises to be a building of healing; mind, body and spirit. Both Stu and John have been at their breaking points, suffering from PTSD, but after years of intensive therapy they are an inspiration to other struggling Veterans and to the employees who treat them. The dedication kicks off a new era in VA, one that promises to do more than ever for Veterans struggling with post deployment, mental health issues. The new building boasts 38 thousand square feet of space to facilitate the ever increasing demand for treatment. This year alone our providers have seen a 5 percent jump in the number of Veteran seeking help for mental health issues.
