Parking
Due to construction, please refer to the facility map for parking lot information.
When you expect a longer stay, please have someone drive you to the medical center or take public transportation. The medical center has limited parking spaces for vehicles. If you must leave your vehicle on the medical center grounds while receiving treatment in any capacity other than outpatient care, please remember to follow all parking regulations. Please refer to the facility map for parking lot locations. For assistance, please contact the VA police at (801) 582-1565 extension 1414.
Guest Shuttle Service
A courtesy cart shuttle service provides transportation for veterans and family members who are disabled to various locations throughout the ground floor of our medical center during the week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Dial 71, then 150 to obtain a courtesy cart).
Public and Van Transportation
Transportation to the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is serviced by TRAX or bus lines. Visit the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) website* for assistance in trip planning, route finding, schedules and maps.
There is a van that is available for transportation from the several areas including St. George, Utah; Ely and Elko, Nevada; and Pocatello, Idaho. If you need information on the van schedule or where to meet the van, please contact 1-(800) 613-4012 ext. 2003.

You may want to call the Highway Department at "511" for the latest in road conditions or possible closures. You can also visit the Utah Department of Transportation website*.

Coming from north of Salt Lake City, take I-15 to exit 304 and head east on I-80. Follow I-80 East to Foothill Drive exit 129 and head north. Stay on Foothill Drive for approximately 3 miles. The George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is located at 500 Foothill Drive.
Coming from south of Salt Lake City, take I-15 to exit 298 and head east on I-215 East. Follow I-215 East to Foothill Drive exit 1. Stay on Foothill Drive for approximately 3 miles. The George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is located at 500 Foothill Drive.
Coming from east of Salt Lake City, take I-80 West toward Salt Lake City to Foothill Drive exit 129, head north. Stay on Foothill Drive for approximately 3 miles. The George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is located at 500 Foothill Drive.
Coming west of Salt Lake City, follow I-80 East to the Foothill Drive exit 129. Stay on Foothill Drive, head north for approximately 3 miles. The George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is located at 500 Foothill Drive.
